E3 Wrapup

Yeah yeah I know it's been a while and I didn't review Sony and Nintendo press conferences, so I'll do that quickly before I close out E3 for this year. Also I'll give my opinion on the winners and losers of E3. Feel free to leave a comment with your opinions.
Sony's press conference was average at best this year. They were able to beat the expectation of a Vita filled conference by showing off some first party developer games. God of War Ascension and The Last of Us blew me away. In addition, 3eyond was very impressive. However, the wonderbook was a horrible waste of time. Not only did the demonstration lag on for what seems like forever, it didn't work. Participants were struggling trying to cast spells during the demo and it was just overall disappointing. Overall the conference was "meh" and there was much that could have been improved.

Nintendo's press conference was overall fairly unimpressive.  Announcements like Pikmen 3 and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance were awesome to see, but too much emphasis was put on establishing the Wii U. I think it may be the fact that the Wii U is nothing special.

To put E3 into an overall look, it wasn't as impressive as last year. Maybe it was due to the expectation that a new console would possibly be unveiled, or maybe there weren't as many games revealed that we didn't know about.

For winners the third part conferences won. EA with Dead Space 3, Medal of Honor: Warfighter and the assortment of EA Sports games was the best conference of E3. Ubisoft, would have won with Watch Dogs and AC3, if not for the annoying hosts. As for the big three, Sony had to win due their assortment of first party titles. The losers had to be Sony's Wonderbook and Microsoft's lack of first party titles. Wonderbook was a mess and Microsoft's press conference could have been renamed to "multi-platform" conference. Also Nintendo's presence was almost nonexistent which, for me, makes it the lowest ranked conference of E3.

Ranking of Conferences:
EA>Sony>Ubisoft>Microsoft>Nintendo
